‘Round and Round the Garden’ by Alan Ayckbourn
Round and Round the Garden’ is the second play in the trilogy, ‘The Norman Conquests’, written by Alan Ayckbourn. In these three, cleverly interlocking plays, six people gather in a country house in England, over one summer weekend in the 70s. Events are seen unfolding over the weekend from the vantage point of three different areas: ‘Table Manners’ in the dining room, ‘Living Together’ in the living room and, outside the house, ‘Round and Round the Garden’. Each play is self-contained and the three may be watched in any order. Offshore Theatre performed ‘Table Manners’ in 2012 .
